Take time to get ready and look good. Prioritize personal grooming to make a positive impression. Take a shower, style your hair, trim your nails, and ensure your breath is fresh. Pay attention to your personal hygiene, choose a pleasant fragrance, and apply it sparingly. Feeling and looking your best will boost your confidence and make you feel more comfortable throughout the date.
You should arrive 5 minutes early if possible and you shouldn’t drink too much alcohol.
Make sure that you’re listening as well as speaking and please don’t conduct an interview. Engaging in meaningful and enjoyable conversation is key to building a connection. Prior to the date, brush up on current events, pop culture, or topics of mutual interest that you can discuss. Be a good listener, ask open-ended questions, and show genuine interest in getting to know your partner. Avoid controversial topics or overly personal questions, focusing instead on light-hearted and enjoyable conversations.
Try to keep the conversation upbeat and positive and don’t judge your date- you’ve only just met them- it takes time.
You can discuss your interests, but don’t get personal or opinionated and don’t give your life story away- hold something back for next time
Your date doesn’t need to know everything about you straight away- discuss what you feel comfortable with and consider how your date might feel.
This isn’t a marriage yet.
